Review of OSINT channel mixed with pro-russian opinions
We have created this page as a watchout regarding channel on Telegram/X called „AMK Mapping“. This channel author (anonymous, claimed from New Zealand) is sometimes mixing public OSINT scan sourced reports and nice missile mapping with some strange pro-russian narratives.
In this text we will not describe data coverage, this can be useful and accurate. Thanks to good mapping, this account is visibly getting more attention, his X posts are cited in media etc. But of course due to this, its influence is higher and the following point is a bigger problem.
Update: to be absolutely fair, we have been monitoring the channel more weeks and it seems, that opinions of the author are driven primarily by „peace at any cost“ views when he often criticizes „pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian fanatics“. It tries to be „neutral“ overlooking who started the war and is commiting crimes and do not want to stop. As if Ukraine could stop the war by themselves by making concessions or some steady de-escalation steps. Ukraine was trying but it was not working. Update 2: ok soon after, same day … the „AMK Mapping“ author blamed Ukraine for not making mandatory evacuation of Kramatorsk (they in fact made made mandatory evacuation for families with children months ago) and not a word that russia murdered people in full minibuses by KAB bombs 🙁 Just if like the russian advance and terror would be something like natural thing…
Ok but back to the the main issue: Russian narrative opinion posts mixed into information flow:
For example this September 2026 post https://t.me/AMK_Mapping/38188 is saying:
„Isn’t it interesting how 99% of the people who advocate for the continuation of the war until Ukraine recaptures all of it’s lost territory live in their comfy homes in safe, peaceful countries?
Isn’t it curious how almost everyone who shouts „no negotiations with Russia!“ don’t have their sons or husbands being kidnapped off the streets, sent to the frontlines, and dying or being injured by the tens of thousands per month?
It sure is interesting how the vast majority of people advocate for fighting „until the last Ukrainian“ don’t have their country being destroyed every single day – both demographically and physically.
Ask yourself this: Do you support Ukraine and Ukrainians? Or do you just hate Russia and Russians.
Do you hate Russia more than you support Ukraine?“
What the text is not mentioning is the following fact: Such people proposing recapturing are not very vocal or we do not even know such people. Contrary to it, Ukraine is in 2026 proposing every day to russia to stop fighting and freeze the war on current frontlines. And it has full support by Western backers (mentioned also in the following post last sentence – see below). The text is not mentioning at all that russia is rejecting the peace every day and demanding instead withdrawing from the last Donbas large fortresses (Sloviansk, Kramatorsk) – very obviously to divide Ukraine politically and if approved, get the staging ground for yet another invasion and taking more of Ukraine.
The text also not mention what happened on lost territories – russian murdering, raping, torturing or even starvation death camp like Oleshky. All very well documented by reliable sources.
This mentioned post is followed by another post citing „pro-peace“ citizens directly echoing russian propaganda back from 2014 and then adding:
„These are the people who should decide what to do with the war – not Europeans, and not Americans. Ukrainians.“
Well? Why the post is not mentioning that it is putin and russians who are deciding if the war stops?
Intentionally, we are not adding more examples (they have not been so often past weeks as of October 2026, maybe the narrative is shifting after heavy critic from different accounts – some of them behaving really badly towards AMK – even threatening) but we really encourage everybody supporting Ukrainian peaceful lives – not to support this ill-masked propaganda and use primarily another channels.
