On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, activists from the groups Kaputin and Občanský rozcestník symbolically covered the Prague–Moscow sculpture at Anděl with a banner depicting Shahed (or Geran) drones and the slogan EUROPE NEEDS A SKY SHIELD FOR UKRAINE! (Forum24)
According to Forum24, the aim of the action was to highlight that “Russian drones may also threaten us.” Radio Svoboda reported that the happening was accompanied by the sound of Shahed drones and included leaflets handed out to passersby.
Michal Majzner commented:
“It makes sense to start intercepting drones over Ukrainian territory — that’s how we learn, they won’t reach us, and we’ll help the country defending us from Russian aggression. That is what the Sky Shield with Ukraine project is about. This is not about total „close the sky“ but start downing drones and missiles over the territory of western Ukraine.”

Activists were moving between Moscow-Prague and final destination was covering part of „Prague“ word of the sculpture. Then they move back and again until the station guard stopped the show and send activist away.
Passers-by were not interested even when we informed them „Drones are flying!“. Only some foreign tourists stopped and thanked for the leaflet activists gave them and said this is the right thing to do.
